The initial minimum size for the paging file are automatically set by Windows on the amount of random access memory (RAM, Random Access Memory) installed on your computer plus 300 MB, up to a maximum size corresponding to 3 times the amount RAM installed on your computer.
As I said if you receive alerts with the settings to the recommended level, increase the minimum and maximum dimensions.
1. Right click on computer / properties /
2. In the left pane, click System Settings advanced. Administrator permission required. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Performance.
4. Click the Advanced tab and then click Change under Virtual Memory.
5. Uncheck the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.
6. In the Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file you want to change.
7. Fare clic su Dimensioni personalizzate, digitare le nuove dimensioni in MB nella casella Dimensioni iniziali (MB) o Dimensioni massime (MB), fare clic su Imposta e quindi su OK.
Non è in genere necessario riavviare il computer quando si aumentano le dimensioni, mentre è necessario riavviarlo quando si riducono le dimensioni affinché le modifiche abbiano effetto.
È consigliabile non disattivare o eliminare il file di paging per molte ragione che saranno illustrate in un altro tip, sappiate che Microsoft sconsiglia vivamente di eliminare il paging e dal momento che sono loro ad aver allestito il sistema operativo c'è da credergli sulla word.
