WIRELESS SOTTO ATTACK!

Computer networks made with radio waves are becoming more widespread and they spread the techniques for breaking them. The wardriving is the set of systems used for attack and intrusion into Wireless networks (wi-fi). WarDriving The term derives from an old technique called wardialing Phreaking or hacking phone that is understood to mean the continuous scanning of telephone numbers to find unprotected systems and PBXs. For WarDriving means literally Wonder and Driving. Often you hear of WarWalking (wonder and walking), and as easy to understand, then it is a wardriving research of wireless networks using the car and the WarWalking is the search for wireless networks while walking.
Wireless networks are inherently more vulnerable to network computers using i cavi.

E’ necessario quindi procurarsi i programmi giusti come i wireless network auditing software(software che consentono il controllo di un sistema effettuato in modo tale da permettere di confrontare le attività svolte sul sistema analizzato); questi programmi scandagliano ether continuously looking for wireless networks when the network and wi-fi has been found, the program can tell us the name of the network, if it is protected, any protection system, signal quality and many other small useful things. If your computer is also equipped with a GPS (Global Positioning System) can store the locations where we have found wireless networks to come back later at your leisure. Once you find the wi-fi should acquire more software IP Scanner, and these programs show names, ports and active services of computers belonging to the wireless network, while if the network is secure before using IP Scanner, you must use to Viola, a sniffer program. This type of software, if there is a good packet traffic on the network in about 15 minutes should give us the password WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) for the network (WEP optional security mechanism defined within the 802.11 standard designed to make connections made through the secure wireless medium such as cable.). Often going to face some configurations of wireless networks that allow network access only after verifying that the serial number of the wireless card (MAC address) of the client computer is authorized. These protections are more difficult to evade, but still breakable.
As you can see holes in a wireless network is very simple and the experiences I've had I can say with absolute certainty that they are often not taken even the minimum safety precautions.

How to Protect the Wireless
The first rule is to change the default settings of the 'Access Point, as a setup password, ip address, network name, and keep your Wi-Fi off when not needed. Disable the DHCP if you do not know what it is, it is a system that allows the automatic assignment of IP addresses. When computers are connected to the network is therefore extremely important to assign IP addresses manually on all computers using the wireless network, thus avoiding to make life easy for the attacker. You should also change 's SSID (Service Set Identity) identification of the network, virtually the name of your wireless network, thus avoiding the use of the factory. Some access points or wireless routers, allow you to hide the 'SSID Broadcast. This protection is still to be taken to prevent easy interception of your wireless network with software auditing, but it is a short-lived protection, since SSID is transmitted every time a client connects to an access point, you can then with a sniffer intercept packets and identification of the network. Use MAC filtering as we have said, With the MAC Address Filter can decide who can access your network, controlling the serial number of network cards wi-fi.
